Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch – Trail Status April 2017

Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch Park Trail Status April 2017

Last weekend was the end of April and the Coyote Lake Harvey Bear Ranch Park trail system is still closed to bikes and horses due to erosion from the winter storms.  Signs around the park state the trails have been surveyed and they are working on scheduling the heavy equipment, lets just hope the rain does not return.

Additionally with all the rain the weeds and grasses are basically out of control.  Many of the trails are now narrow single tracks due to the weeds.  This also means you need to be more aware of rattle snakes near or on the trail.  This year we have seen several rattle snakes along with our friendly king and gopher snakes.

Photos from April 30, 2017 hiking on Coyote Ridge, Mummy Mountain, Willow and Harvey Bear trails.
